Medical Services
The Change a Life Foundation constantly strives to fulfill their mission to provide support for critically needed direct services that promote an individual’s level of self-sufficiency and improves their quality of life. Change a Life seeks to counter the feeling of loss and hopelessness a family or individual is faced with when confronted by daunting health care costs. By providing small medical miracles through 68 grants totaling $241,863 in 2008, the Foundation hopes to have impacted the lives of these recipients in such a way that they will feel compelled to pass on the hope, that they have been bestowed, to another individual or family in need.

Kevin was at a family bonfire when his life was forever changed. An accident resulted in Kevin receiving third degree burns over sixty percent of his body. At one point the medical staff believed that they would have to amputate both of his hands. Fortunately, doctors were able to save his hands. A Change a Life grant provided Kevin's family with nearby lodging during his ordeal so that a family member was able to be with him at all times. |
